There are many fine wines that are produced in Sardinia: wine growing in the region is very old, but only recently, from the seventies of the twentieth century, have been recognized at national and international level the typical wines, made from grapes grown on the ground predominantly limestone and sandy.
Among the most characteristic grape varieties include Nuragus used to produce Nuragus di Cagliari DOC, a white wine that goes well with seafood dishes widespread on the island: crustaceans, shellfish, raw and cooked, boiled fish, fried and roasted; it is produced in the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano.
